For a new cellphone user, I wouldn't have recommended a touch-screen phone. They're annoying enough for most people at times.

I've pocket-dialed people with my cell before. Never hung up on anybody accidentally though.

I can't say that I've accidentally a) with my mobile phone (which I've only had since early November), though the phone has hung up on someone once when the other person mucked up handling their own mobile (as they admitted to me when they called me back).

And are you talking about b) at the same time as a), or not? If separately, then yes, I've done b) a couple of times.

The touch screen mobile phones are something one needs to adjust to, and how one carries them in pocket is one of these adjustments. :)
